For the company founder and art smith Georg Schaefer sen. the creative self - development, artistic design and solid craftsmanship were each his jewels – and also everyday objects.
His son and successor Georg Schaefer continued this artistic work and extended it, among other things, by his complicated inlay work.
In the 60s he already worked for various artists of the "Bahnhof Rolandseck", among others for the Hungarian sculptor Lajos Barta.
For Werner Schaefer and his co-workers it is a special pleasure and also a challenge to combine creativity and craftsmanship with individual products and to develop original solutions for unusual artistic projects.
„Heimat“
On the occasion of his exhibition "I am" at the Hans Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck and for the "Remagener Skulpturenufer" the South Tyrolean sculptor Aron Demetz created the bronze woman sculpture "Heimat".
The large-size work has been transported and installed by us to the stone wall.
It is worth not only to visit the exhibition in Rolandseck, but also to make a trip to „Heimat“, Rhine kilometer 635, near Remagen.
To all travelers, cyclists and strollers!
